25 things

so i've been tagged again, and this time, specifically required to do this. i guess i have no choice then...i don't know who started this upgraded version of that "answering questions about yourself" game, but this person must be lazier, cuz in this version, one doesn't even need to come up with questions at the first place. And, 25 things about yourself? who come up with this number?

1) as a start of the 25 things, i'm not 25 yet (should i feel good about it?), but getting there.
2) i had my first car in my life before i get to 25. my own money, cash paid, 100% ownership transferred, and of course, second-hand.
3) i'm on my third iPod which has "you're 25 now. happy birthday!" engraved on the back. the package came earlier than my birthday...
4) unlike someone who has an ocean-view apartment, my apartment has a maple-view, which is also gorgeous, for two and half months each year.
5) my office has a parking-lot-view, but yes, my first job gives me an office, not a cubicle. no complaint about that.
6) i'm probably the only MPP student in the world who doesn't really listen to NPR or watch PBS. the tv channel i learned about american politics and all? comedy central i guess? well, cnn could be another one.
7) i grew up in hunan, went to college in beijing, grad school in minnesota, started my job in connecticut, but was told to have taiwanese accent when speaking in mandarin.
8) i watch way more japanese tv shows than korean tv shows and american tv shows because the japanese ones are short. i do like some chinese movies, but tv shows, not so much.
9) by the way, i don't have a tv in my apartment, so i watch everything on my computer or via my iPod podcast.
10) music? i do listen to vivaldi and mozart and those classical you-know-who's masterpieces occasionally (you gotta utilize the resources when you're at yale). but most of the time, i listen to pop, like jay chou or britney spears or whoever, and something in the middle like joanna wang (ruo lin) or ono lisa. looking for chinese pop music? ask me.
11) i'm not even half way through yet? this game is insanely hard...ok, i like ocean and beach better than mountain and woods.
12) so, maldives is where i'm hoping to go.
13) but before that, my plan is jiu zhaigou, feng huang, taiwan, japan, costa rico, brazil, well, i better stop here, oh, one more, europe, how about that?
14) i'm a good cook, and i mean it.
15) this is my favorite part, i do get to go back to china for business couple times a year. even better, i go back to changsha.
16) i'm learning japanese too.
17) i always thought that one of the greatest success in my life so far was i was able to extend my india business visa in india by myself when i had a chinese passport and an expiring visa i got in the united states.
18) yes, i want to go back to india. i was working so hard when i was there that i didn't really get much time to travel around.
19) i'm an atheist, but i believe in love. people should help each other when they're able to.
20) i'm not a big fan of american football, but i felt bad missing the super bowl this year.
21) i was called in some internal document "self-taught magician", but i'm really not that good.
22) people say that i will be a better father than husband. sadly, it could be true, particularly if i have a daughter.
23) the only accessory i have ever worn in my life was a red bracelet with a silver rat i had to wear for the year of rat in 2008. my apology to everyone who has given me accessories as gifts. i do take care of them and may wear them for certain occassions. but, nah, i'm not an accessory guy.
24) but i do spend quite some money on clothing
25) that's the thing. when it comes to the end, i feel like there are a lot more items i need to cover, but i'll stop here. breath...
